A Maple Ridge neighbourhood was jostled awake as warnings to stay indoors were issued by police over a loudspeaker Friday.
At around 9 a.m. Ridge Meadows RCMP and the integrated Emergency Response Team executed an arrest warrant on a home in the 12200-block area of 230th Street, near Harry Hooge Elementary.

Mounties used the loudspeaker to order residents to come out of the house, as well as to instruct neighbours to stay indoors.
Parker Stephen Meadows, a 32-year-old Maple Ridge man, was arrested without incident at the scene, said Ridge Meadows media officer Const. Julie Klaussner.
According to court documents, Meadows is currently before the courts on charges out of Victoria, including assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for “dangerous purpose,” and uttering threats.
Now, he faces additional charges locally, including two counts of breach of a release order, one count of occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm was present, and one count of possessing a firearm without a licence.
Meadows was expected to appear in Port Coquitlam’s provincial court via video conferencing for a bail hearing today (Thursday). Otherwise, his next court date is June 1.
