Fernie’s Essential Yoga Studio is remaining open to the public, following a generous donation from a long time friend and client of the studio.
The yoga studio released a heavy hearted announcement on Aug. 4, informing the community that due to COVID-19 and a resultant loss of attendance and income, they were to be closing at the end of September.
However on Aug. 20, Essential Yoga Studio announced that they will be staying open for the foreseeable future, as a result of the donation received earlier in the month.
“We have all felt the financial and mental struggles that have plagued 2020 thus far and Essential is no different,” read their announcement. “It has been a very trying six months for us and had we not received this unexpected support we would need to close our doors. We are so happy we get to spend some more time together, we love this studio, our community and all of you who have supported us over the years.”
Apologizing for any confusion the planned closure may have caused, the studio is looking forward to an autumn welcoming new clients.
As it stands, Essential Yoga will continue offering a combination of live and Zoom classes, based on demand. The studio urges any clients seeking classes or times currently unavailable, to reach out in hopes of being able to accommodate as many requests as possible.
“We need your love by attending classes, purchasing a pass and spreading the word,” ended the announcement.
