BC Transit suspended Monday’s service to routes in Terrace Regional Transit System in KitsumKalum, Queensway, Gitaus, New Remo and Thornhill.

CMTN class cancellations
Students and staff are advised not to attend classes at the Terrace and Hazelton campuses at Coast Mountain College.
The weather “has created a challenge for college work crews to keep up with snow removal at the Terrace campus and created some unsafe road conditions,” stated CMNT’s press release.
Updates will be posted to CMTN’s official Facebook page, and on the CMTN web page.
“Safety is our top priority and we want the crews we have on site to be able to get on top of the snow removal situation to ensure when classes resume we have a safe environment for staff and students to return to,” said acting president, Justin Kohlman.
SD82 cancellations
All Terrace and Kitimat Schools within Coast Mountains School District 82 will be closed Monday due to the unsafe conditions of the highways, side roads and sidewalks resulting from the extreme weather within the area.
Bear Valley School and the Hazelton and Kitwanga schools will be open to receive students and bus routes will be operating as scheduled.
“Parents and guardians are asked to contact their school principal should they have questions or require additional information. District staff are expected to report to work, however, should staff be unable to make it to work or feel unsafe, they are to contact their school principal or vice principal,” stated SD82’s release.
