Fernie’s Red Tree Lodge has received Trip Advisor’s prestigious Best of the Best 2020 award in their eighteenth annual Traveller’s Choice Awards – a distinction that puts them in the top one percent of hotels worldwide.
“We’re so excited to receive this award. It’s a real testament to all the hard work that goes into making Red Tree Lodge a home away from home for visitors to Fernie,” said Jon Ward, general manager of Red Tree Lodge.
The award program celebrate hotels based off the quality and quantity of the reviews, opinions and ratings on TripAdvisor. With over 8.7 million businesses featured on the global travel site, Red Tree Lodge’s award puts them among the top one per cent of all listed hotels.
According to Ward, he attributes the success to their amicable and knowledgeable staff, along with their dedication to providing a comfortable stay to all guests. Thought to further contribute to the laudable ratings is a wide array of guest amenities including a movie theatre, library, hot tub, guest kitchen and more.
Red Tree Lodge also boasts eight consecutive Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor – an annual distinction given to the top 10 per cent of all listings.
Even so, 2020’s award means all the more to Red Tree Lodge’s staff having come after a particularly challenging year that mandated them to close their doors between March and June.
Though Red Tree Lodge looks forward to the upcoming winter season, Ward urges all tourists to follow provincial health guidelines.
