The board of directors had previously postponed the festival as they awaited more information about COVID-19.

On Tuesday (March 17), they made the official call that Fest of Ale will be cancelled for 2020.

Refunds will be made available to everyone who purchased passes.

“It has been a very difficult decision, but all of us on the board know it is the right decision given the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak,” said John Cruickshank, president of the Okanagan Fest of Ale in a release.

Credit card purchases will be automatically reimbursed beginning March 20, but may take 5 to 10 business days to process.

If you purchased tickets with cash or debit you will need to contact the box office directly to arrange a refund. You can do so by email at soec-boxoffice@penticton.ca or by phone at 250-276-2144.
