Firefighters were called to put out a car on fire in Lower Ootischenia on Monday morning.
When Ootischenia’s fire chief arrived on the scene just after 7:30, the vehicle, parked on a corner on Welsh Road, was fully engulfed.
“The grass surrounding the vehicle was just starting to light,” says George Hamm. “I have 150 gallons of water on the command vehicle which I was able to use to initiate an initial attack.”
Members from the Robson department assisted the Ootischenia firefighters in quickly putting out the fire.
There were no injuries from the fire or damage to local infrastructure.
Hamm says police and the fire department are investigating the cause of the fire.
