Firefighters extinguish Campbell River house fire

One person escaped and was taken to hospital

Campbell River firefighters responded to a house fire on Old Petersen Road Monday afternoon.

The single occupant of the house was able to escape the fire on the 400 block of Old Petersen Road and was taken to hospital to be treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
