Terrace RCMP responded to 55 calls for service from July 19, 8 a.m. till July 21, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, five people were lodged in Terrace cells – two of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

A man and woman refusing to pay a bill at a restaurant on Lakelse Ave. They paid prior to police attendance. Police assisted in their exit from the restaurant.

A green Ford F150 bypassed a check stop near New Hazelton. A short time later police received a report that the green Ford had been stolen out of Terrace when it was left unlocked with the keys in it on Queensway. The stolen Ford was located at Seeley Lake. A 28-year-old man was arrested by New Hazelton RCMP.

Domestic dispute. Property was damaged. Under investigation.

Theft from an unlocked grey 2008 Dodge Caravan and a red 2008 Mazda MX3 parked on Kenworth St. A Gameboy, wallet, and USB cable were stolen.

Neighbourhood dispute. A person lets his dog defecate on his neighbour’s lawn and does not pick it up on Davis Ave. Police spoke with the people involved.

Domestic assault. A man and a woman both sustained minor injuries. Both were arrested. Charges are being forwarded on both.

A blue 1993 GMC truck was pulled over on Greig Ave. The 42-year-old driver did not have a driver’s licence and had a notice to serve a driving a prohibition and was a vehicle impound candidate. The prohibition was served and the vehicle was impounded.

A brown 1998 Ford F150 was pulled over on Hwy 16/Hwy 37. The 57-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A black 2010 Jeep Liberty was pulled over on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. near Crescent St. for going 123 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone. The 34-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A yellow 2009 Ford Ranger was pulled over on Clark St. The 28-year-old driver had an expired Class 7 L driver’s licence. He was impaired by drug. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Suspension.

A blue Dodge caravan was pulled over on Clark St./Pine St. The 33-year-old driver had a Class 7 driver’s licence. She provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. She was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle she was driving was impounded.

A boy and girl breaking a stop sign at Munroe St./Lazelle Ave. Checks were done of the area. Police put the broken stop sign back up using zap straps. A second broken stop sign at Olson Ave./Munroe St. was also located and repaired temporally in the same manner.

Luring/child pornography investigation.

A white 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier hit the ditch on Queensway Dr./Mark Ave. The 28-year-old driver and the 20-year-old male passenger were trapped. Thornhill Fire Department freed the men and they were taken to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the incident.
