A building permit application for a pharmacy on First Avenue has been put on hold for 60 days, pending the outcome of a public hearing June 25.
The hearing centres around council’s bylaw proposal to ban new pharmacies from First Avenue until such time as a downtown revitalization plan can be completed.
Council had previously issued a 30-day hold on May 22 for the application at 33133 First Ave. submitted by Nandakumar Sambandam to develop a medical clinic and pharmacy.
