Mountains around the Elk Valley have emerged from the smoke after overnight rainfall cleared the air.
Poking through the clouds this morning, a fresh coat of snow could be seen on the highest peaks – a sign that the season is changing.
According to Environment Canada, Monday is tipped to reach a high of 13C with a chance of showers.
Temperatures will remain at around 19C through to Friday with a mix of sun and cloud, and lows of between 2C and 7C.
Elk Valley residents can look forward to warmer weather over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday promising a high of 21C and fine conditions.
