Five people were arrested at the Grand Trunk Inn a week last Sunday after RCMP members executed a search warrant at a specific hotel room.
Some but not all of those arrested were Vanderhoof residents.
A warrant was obtained for the room after a police investigation had deteremined that drugs, including cocaine and marijuana, were being sold there.
When police got to the hotel room, just after midnight, the door was already open and drugs were out on show. The eight RCMP members, who were also assisted by Police Dog Services from Prince George, arrested five adults, three males and two females for possession and trafficking of a controlled substance.
Two of the people had cocaine in their possession at the time of the arrest.
Several dozen grams of cocaine along with marijuana, mushrooms and a quantity of cash were seized from the room.
Two males and one female were released with documents to attend court and charges are pending.
