Former Darfield resident charged with possession of stolen truck and property

Barriere RCMP report that Heidi Ericka Wichmann, formerly of Darfield, B.C., was charged on July 11, 2019, with possession of a stolen pickup truck and possession of other stolen property that was located inside her residence by the Barriere RCMP in February of this year. Wichmann appeared in Kamloops court on Aug. 8, for her first appearance, and is scheduled to next appear on Sept. 5, 2019.

Chronic offender re-arrested after breaching court ordered ban from Barriere

Less than a month after her release on a court-imposed condition to not be within the town limits of Barriere, Bridgette Beth Poore was arrested by the Barriere RCMP following tips from the public that she had returned to the community. Poore is facing charges for failing to comply with the conditions of her recognizance before a Judge, by breaching both a no-contact order as well as being within 50 metres of the District of Barriere. Poore remains in custody pending her next Kamloops court appearance on Aug. 15, 2019.
