A four vehicle collision caused traffic to stop on the Mission bridge earlier this afternoon.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 29), Mission RCMP received a call reporting a four vehicle collision with minor injuries.
Police, BC Ambulance and Mission Fire Rescue arrived on scene.
According to an RCMP spokesperson, the apparent cause of the accident was a large blue tote bag. The bag had come loose from a vehicle travelling in the southbound lane causing other vehicles to come to an abrupt stop, leading to the accident.
Traffic northbound was also affected due to driver’s slowing down to take a look at the accident scene.
After several minutes, the bridge was cleared and traffic returned to normal.
