Emergency crews responded to a four-vehicle crash Wednesday in Maple Ridge.
It occurred around 10:30 a.m. at 216th Street and 128th Avenue.
Initial reports indicated multiple injuries involving four vehicles, with extensive damage – a car, pickup and two SUVs.
Six people were involved in the crash. Four people were transported to hospital by ambulance. One went to Royal Columbian Hospital.
A woman carrying a toddler was seen getting into an ambulance.
Conservation officer Todd Hunter was among the first on scene and provided basic first-aid to a woman who had left her vehicle and was lying on the ground. He also saw to others in the crash before emergency responders arrived.
