Gov. Gen. Julie Payette says while the COVID-19 pandemic has made for a challenging year, Canadians have responded positively to hardship.

In her year-end message, Payette pays tribute to front-line workers, including medical professionals and the military, for their efforts to save lives and care for others as the pandemic rages on.
