Funds being pumped into Greater Vernon recreation facilities

Money will go towards accessible washrooms at Kin and Paddlewheel parks

Upgrades are on the way at Greater Vernon recreational facilities.

On Tuesday, the provincial government unveiled $546,674 for four projects.

“This represents a huge investment in the North Okanagan,” said Eric Foster, Vernon-Monashee MLA.

The projects include upgrades to the washrooms at Kin and Paddlewheel parks, a playground and expanded fitness centre at the Vernon Recreation Complex and turning the Lakers clubhouse on Cummins Road into a community centre.
