Three Vernon groups have received a combined $150,000 in community gaming grants.
Independent Vernon Living Society will get $25,000 while there is $25,000 for the John Howard Society and $100,000 for the North Okanagan Childcare and Montessori Preschool Society.
“These organizations have for years provided important services to many people in Vernon and area,” said Eric Foster, Vernon-Monashee MLA.
These grants are awarded under the human and social services category of the community gaming grant program, which allows non-profit organizations to apply for provincial gaming revenues from the Ministry of Community Development.
