Arrowview Elementary students may soon be dipping their paintbrushes and rolling up their sleeves as they work to exercise area residents’ brains with a special Walk of Thought.
The project, promoted at a recent council meeting by Jodi Waters’ Grade 4 class, got the green light from staff this week in a report to council.
The project, if approved by council, would see town staff paint 30 white footprints on the pavement on the paved trail parallel to Bennett Road between Sunrise Drive and Cardinal Way.
This walk of footprints would then become the Walk of Thought when the Garbage Busters team paints environmental statements within each print.
The cost for municipal taxpayers is estimated at $250 and the project is expected to have a lifespan of between five and seven years.
Council had not made a decision on the issue at press time.
