Geotechnical drilling is slated for the Cariboo Memorial Hospital site in preparation for the redevelopment plan.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, approximately nine holes will be drilled in various locations on the site, including the hospital parking lot, noted Interior Health in a press release.

The drilling will impact a few parking stalls, and is planned to occur outside of peak parking times.

It is suggested that patients arrive early for any appointments to avoid issues with finding a parking spot.

The site investigation is essential to inform the business plan for Cariboo Memorial Hospital redevelopment, which Interior Health said will be submitted to the provincial government in late April for its consideration to approve the project.
