The July 24 passing of Greeny Lake Volunteer Fire Department founder and fire chief Ken Gisby was sad news for everyone who knew him.
On Aug. 6, there will be a procession of emergency vehicles to signify the loss of a valiant firefighter.
They will muster on the frontage road across the highway from the Lac la Hache Food Mart, and at 11 a.m., the emergency vehicles, with their lights on, will travel to the end of Timothy Lake Road and then go back to the Greeny Lake Volunteer Fire Department Fire Hall.
The procession will be followed by a memorial service and a celebration of life at the fire hall, which starts at 1 p.m.
“Those that knew Ken, were touched by his life and want to support his family are welcome to attend this celebration,” says his loving wife Laurie.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Greeny Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
