Good morning, Kelowna. The end of the week has arrived. Before we breathe a collective sigh of relief, let’s dive into the issues of the day.
1.) Weather: It’s still cold but Environment Canada said it’s going warm up to a high of – 7C. Today wll be mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of flurries this morning. High minus 7.
Tonight temperatures will steady near -6C.
2.) More excitement with the Rutland Parks Society Board. Its president has said he has retained a lawyer and is considering legal action against another board member for defamation.
3.) The former head of the BC Fruit Growers’ Association has been fined by Health Canada for using an unregistered pest control product.
4.) Love pets? Love happy news stories? You’ll enjoy this one.
5.) US politics have you engrossed? Here’s a good one. President-elect Donald Trump says Mexico will reimburse taxpayers for a new border wall and that U.S. money spent will be for the “sake of speed.”
