The Regional District of North Okanagan is pursuing two grants.
Applications have been submitted to the B.C. Age Friendly Communities Grant Program for activities in Greater Vernon and Cherryville.
Tannis Nelson, community services manager, admits both applications may not be successful.
“Depending on how over-subscribed the (grant) program is, we’ll see,” she said.
A $20,000 application is being sought for improving accessibility and providing seniors-focused programs at Greater Vernon community gardens, while $21,000 is being sought to upgrade the kitchen appliances at the Cherryville Community Hall for community programs.
