After the successful sale of (almost) all the Griz Pins, the winning Griz Pin has been drawn – number 190.
The owner of the winning pin has 72 hours to call 250-423-6868 to nominate a charity of their choice to receive $1,000 donated in their name.
This year, the winnings were donated to a local charity instead of going to the winning buyer because of the smaller-scale Griz Days festival, and the tough time so many charities are having in raising money, with the theme of this years Griz Days being about giving back to the community.
Only 1,000 pins were made this year, making the 2021 pins a limited edition.
The #showusyourgrizpin competition was also drawn, with the winner going home with a $100 gift card for a local business of their choice.
At the same time, the Griz folks also drew the winner of the Fernie Rotary’s Wine Tree Raffle, with the winner walking away with a $1,000 gift certificate to their choice of B.C. wine shop.
