Hagensborg Water District ratepayers vote to dissolve district

In a close vote of 68 to 63, ratepayers have chosen to dissolve the water district

The ratepayers of the Hagensborg Water District have voted to dissolve the district. In a close vote, 68 ratepayers voted in favour of dissolution while 63 voted against it. A total of 221 ballots were sent out of which 133 were returned. Two were spoilt.

The Trustees urged ratepayers to vote yes, stating that grant funds to the tune of $3.8M would only be accessible if the district was to dissolve and convert to the Central Coast Regional District.
