Things can get a bit fowl whenever Jim Turner takes his pet parrot with him out for a drive or going for coffee.
His feathered friend, Admiral Nelson, as Turner calls him, easily draws attention especially when people see him perched on his shoulder like you might see in pirate movies. He sports vividly coloured plumage, has a striking gaze, large grey beak and playful mannerisms.
Both were spotted near the PQB News recently.
“I take him out with me a lot during summer because during winter it’s just too cold,” said Turner. “I’ve had him since he was a baby. He’s 30 years old now.”
Make sure to say hello to Admiral Turner when you get the chance to see him out with Turner, since he’s likely to wave back at you.
