Metro Vancouver has issued an air quality warning because of smoke from forest fires.
The regional authority says that due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter, people with chronic medical conditions should avoid strenuous exercise outside until the advisory is lifted.
The very young, very old and people with diabetes, lung and heart diseases are most at risk.
Metro Vancouver says the advisory is expected to continue until there is a change in the weather.
There are currently 67 active wildfires larger than 10 hectares across B.C., according to the BC Wildfire Service.
More than 127,000 hectares has gone up in smoke so far this fire season.
