Enbridge Northern Gateway Joint Review Panel community hearings will be held in Fort St. James.
The locations for the community hearings for the environmental review process have been announced, and Fort St. James is on the list.
Dates have not been set yet, except the date of the first hearings in Kitimat on January 10, 2012.
Registered intervenors will be given a chance to give oral evidence first, and then the panel will return to the communities on the list as well as some other additional communities to hear oral statements.
In total, 17 communities will host the panel for oral evidence for registered intervenors, and those same communities plus six additional communities will host the panel for oral statements.
Interestingly, the hearings will not only take place along the pipeline route, but will also be located in a number of communities a great distance from the pipeline route. Coastal communities such as Bella Coola and Hartley Bay will host the panel for both types of evidence.
The interior community of Kelowna further south will also be hosting the panel for people to make oral statements.
