School is now officially out for summer in the Abbotsford School District, thanks to a historical heat wave.
The ASD officially announced the decision to keep schools closed on Tuesday after initially only closing on Monday.
“This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution as the current temps in many of our buildings could put the health + safety of our students + staff at risk,” the ASD stated on Facebook.
The district website stated that families can pick up report cards on Wednesday (June 30), as they are planning a return to normal operations on that day.
