School buses servicing the Williams Lake area, including 150 Mile House area are not running today due to road conditions.
Schools, however, are open.
According to Environment Canada, there is a snowfall warning for Cariboo – south including Williams Lake, active for next 14 hours.
Here’s what they had to say …“A long period of snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected. An intense low pressure system will deliver bands of snow to the central interior today, with snowfall rates intensifying this afternoon. Total snowfall accumulations of 20 cm are expected by Friday morning for communities closest to the Caribou Mountains; namely Horsefly, and Likely.
The snow will ease briefly Friday morning before one last band passes through Friday afternoon.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.

Recommended actions are if visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
