West Shore RCMP arrested several members of the Hells Angels motorcycle club last week in Langford after a loaded gun and various suspected drugs were seized from a limousine.

The May 6 traffic stop, which took place on Highway 1 near Leigh Road, was initiated by West Shore RCMP after the limousine was observed committing an offence under the Motor Vehicle Act. During the stop, police gathered evidence which led to the arrest of all occupants of the vehicle.

A subsequent search yielded the loaded handgun with several loaded magazines and amounts of cocaine, marijuana and other pills.

The 10 occupants of the vehicle, including six full-patch Hells Angels and four associates, were arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 10.

A detailed report will be forwarded to Crown counsel for consideration of multiple criminal charges.
