When you see the RCMP van at Superstore Saturday, no need to panic. It’s not a crime scene; it’s a collection scene! The annual Cram the Cruiser is back, collecting food and funds for the Comox Valley Food Bank. Help out if you can. Photo supplied

Help the Comox Valley RCMP ‘Cram the Cruiser’ with items for the food bank

RCMP will be onsite at the Real Canadian Superstore Saturday

  • Dec. 13, 2018 12:00 a.m.

The Comox Valley RCMP are teaming up with the Real Canadian Superstore, 97.3 The Eagle, Tim Hortons and the Comox Valley Food Bank on Saturday (Dec. 15) to Cram the Cruiser.

From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. the RCMP officers and volunteers will be at the Real Canadian Superstore in Courtenay, filling up a police cruiser with donations for the food bank. Cash will be graciously accepted and all the donations will solely benefit the Comox Valley Food Bank. Personal hygiene products and even a little something special for Christmas are also always accepted.

There will be hot dogs for lunch, coffee to warm up with, and a big Safety Bear available for visits. Additionally, anyone who makes a donation to the Cram the Cruiser event is given the opportunity to enter their name into a draw for some amazing prizes.

Come and join us to help brighten this holiday season for families here in the Comox Valley.
