Highway 97A reopened to traffic as flood repairs continue

Traffic resumes between Grindrod and Sicamous in the Shuswap

A major transportation route is back to normal a week after devastating floods.

Highway 97A between Grindrod and Sicamous reopened to traffic Sunday. It was closed a week ago after raging flood waters ripped the highway apart in the Two Mile area.

DriveBC reports that there is construction three kilometres south of Sicamous until further notice. Observe speed zones and watch for flaggers.
