DriveBC reports slippery sections along Highway 1 between Glacier National Park East Boundary and BC/Alberta Border due to compact snow.
Expect Highway 1 to have up to 20 minute delays, in both directions between Columbia West FSR and Quartz Creek FSR.
Highway 1 is closed heading west to Revelstoke, in both directions. High avalanche hazard between Townley St and 14th St N has resulted in the closure, with no detours not available.
There are also reports of limited visibility with snow between Glacier National Park West Boundary and Glacier National Park East Boundary, as well as slippery sections due to compact snow.
Avalanche control work will be ongoing betweem Glacier National Park West Boundary and Glacier National Park East Boundary, west of Golden, resulting in road closures heading to Revelstoke. No detours available.
Watch for slippery sections along Highway 95 between Radium and Golden.
