Langley RCMP are looking for a driver who dumped a badly damaged rental car in a Walnut Grove elementary school parking lot this morning.
The vehicle was abandoned after it was smashed into two vehicles parked in a Fort Langley driveway, before leaving the scene and hitting a nearby power pole.
At least 22 homes were left without power at around 5 a.m. in the Fort Langley area of Mary Avenue to Hudson Bay Street after a power pole was struck by the fleeing car.
Two vehicles parked in a driveway on Hudson Bay Street were badly damaged when they were hit by the out-of-control vehicle, said police.
The driver attempted to leave the scene, hitting a hydro pole nearby, causing the power outage, said police.
The vehicle was dumped in parking lot of Ecole des Voyageurs shortly after.
Police have since recovered the vehicle, which is a rental. BC Hydro estimates power will be restored by 5 p.m.
