The victim of a hit and run last Friday night has been identified as 35-year-old Travos Stewart.
Police believe the Vancouver area man was walking on the shoulder of the Lougheed Highway when he was hit and landed in the ditch about one kilometre east of the Visitor Information Centre.
A BC Ambulance crew driving in the area Saturday morning found the victim along with debris from a vehicle.
The owner of a black 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee was turned over to police by the registered owner a couple of days later.
No charges have been laid and police are still investigating the incident. Anyone who may have seen something in the area related to this is asked to call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161.
