Okanagan home brewers gathered to present their beers at the second annual CAMRA South Okanagan Home Brewing Competition on Sept. 16.
The event, at Square One Hop Growers in Penticton, drew more than 110 attendees to sample 11 home-brewed beers from eight competitors.
“There is something absolutely magical about enjoying a delicious hand-crafted beer, made with passion, while standing among the hops in a hopyard in the sunshine,” said Kim Lawton, president of CAMRA South Okanagan. “You could smell, feel and taste where beer begins in the hopyard.”
