Cooling air temperatures have resulted in water temperatures dropping below 18 C, the ministry of forests said Thursday afternoon.

“This is an acceptable level to allow a catch-and-release fishery.”

Reopening of the river when water temperatures drop below 18 C is consistent with the Horsefly River Angling Management Plan, which was developed via a public consultation process.
