Snowfall and cold temperatures have caused roads and highways in the Shuswap to become icy.

Snowfall has continued to blanket the Shuswap region, and as a result many roads and highways are slippery.

The snow is expected continue through Sunday, and Environment Canada predicts up to 5 cm of snowfall in Salmon Arm.

Drive BC reports compact snow with slippery sections on the Trans-Canada Highway from Sorrento to Sicamous.

Two motor vehicle accidents, both single vehicle incidents, occurred over the weekend due to the slippery driving conditions.
