A rash of complaints about Interior Health (IH) switching to pre-cooked main courses for
hospital patients and long-term care residents at the South Cariboo Health Centre has led to some significant new information released by the health authority.
Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett said she talked to IH recently about menu items no longer freshly prepared and/or cooked by IH staff at the 100 Mile District General Hospital cafeteria, and was told more about the many food items that will continue to be prepared locally.
