Area residents were incensed last week to find that someone had dumped a pile of garbage off Highway 5 at the railroad access pullout above Exlou and just south of Louis Creek in the North Thompson Valley. The pile of refuse seems to have included a vehicle door, large cushion, rusty bucket, tarp, blankets, and more. Most irritating to many was to see the pile had been dumped not far from a sign that says “Stop Illegal Dumping”. Thanks to local, John Chevrier, who took the time out of his day to clean up someone else’s mess and dispose of it correctly. (Maitland Simrose/Facebook photo)
