Surrey RCMP have launched an impaired driving investigation after a car collided with a motorcycle in Cloverdale Saturday evening.
Police say that on June 6 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Mounties received a call from Emergency Health Services regarding a collision between two vehicles on the 17000-block of 56 Avenue.
Surrey RCMP told Peace Arch News Monday that the individuals involved in the crash did not sustain life-threatening injuries, however, the matter is now being investigated as an impaired driving investigation.
“A sports car rear-ended a motorcycle in the eastbound fast lane. The collision sent the rider several metres down the road where paramedics and firefighters tended to him/her,” a witness told PAN. “The force of the crash actually embedded the motorcycle in the front end of the sports car.”
