Injured deer blocking traffic in downtown Penticton

Traffic near Wade Avenue and Martin Street is being diverted

Traffic is being diverted around a deer that is believed to have been struck by a car on Wade Avenue and Martin Street on Tuesday evening.

Witnesses earlier saw the deer on all four feet but it appeared to be limping as it walked. Now the deer is laying on the street.

City of Penticton workers are helping divert traffic around the injured animal.
