TERRACE RCMP have responded to approximately 30 calls for service from May 21, 8 a.m. till May 22, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were eight people lodged in Terrace Cells. Five of these people were lodged for public intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
an employer was enquiring about the past of an employee. Police advised the employer to request a criminal record check as part of employment conditions.
uttering threats investigation. Police spoke with the people involved and gave advice.
group of intoxicated people causing problems outside of the City Furniture on Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with the group a short distance away and moved them on.
intoxicated possibly injured man at Greig Ave./Kalum St. Checks were done of the area.
a man wanting to fight another man. Police spoke with both of the men and advised them to avoid each other.
police observed a drooling passed out man sitting on a park bench near the McDonald’s on Lakelse Ave. The 26-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.
Elsewhere Terrace
a man observed a chainsaw fall out of the back of a truck on Kenney St. The chain saw was turned into the detachment and returned to its owner who had reported it missing.
familial dispute. Police spoke with the people involved and came up with a plan when cooler heads could prevail.
missing 10-year-old girl from Suwilaawks School. The girl was returned to the school by a family member who had found her at the mall.
a back pack was found at Suwilaawks School and turned into the police. The owner of the back pack was contacted.
uttering threats investigation involving youth.
a person reporting suspicious behavior on a crisis line. Under investigation.
a woman was observed being pushed into a residence by a man. Police attended to the residence and spoke with a man and woman. An offence was not determined.
harassment. Police gave advice on the matter.
harassment complaint. Police spoke with two couples and advised them to avoid each other. Ongoing back and forth issues that boiled over during the May long weekend.
a man was observed to be chasing a car on Haugland Ave. Police stopped the 42-year-old man and ended up arresting him for public intoxication. He is on conditions to not consume alcohol.
false residential alarm on McConnell Ave.

well-being check of a man who failed to show for a meeting. Police conducted checks. The man was just late.
theft of a bike. Police spoke with the 14-year-old boy. This complaint was determined to be false and the bike was found in the back yard.
assist New Aiyansh RCMP with transportation of a man.
a red Honda Civic being driven erratically on Kalum St. The registered owner was spoken with.
two intoxicated persons in George Little Park. A 36-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were both arrested for public intoxication.

Thornhill
a woman under the influence of intoxicating substances forced her way into a residence and assaulted a woman. Police arrested a 29-year-old woman for assault. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
a man in breach of a no contact order. Police conducted checks and determined that the man was not on any orders involving no contact.
Rural
a rude man on Terrace mountain. An offence was not committed. Police gave advice on the matter.
domestic assault. A 46-year-old woman was assaulted by her 61-year-old spouse. Under investigation.
Gitaus
a man being harassed and also not allowed access to his residence to retrieve belongings. Police gave advice on the matter.
