The Cariboo Regional District board has approved in principle a new 50-50 cost share Landowner Assistance program to supplement existing invasive plant management programs.
The pilot program will be in addition to the traditional herbicide dispensing and equipment loans, but now landowners will split the cost of the herbicide provided.
Results will be reviewed to measure the pilot program’s success and suitability for complete program adoption.
