The annual riverbank cleanup uncovered some interesting items, including an old car.
The event, sponsored by LNG Canada, Kitimat Understanding The Environment and the District of Kitimat, saw a group of volunteers take advantage of the good weather and enjoy time outdoors for a good cause.
LNG Canada’s Ruth Sulentich said along with the nearly 50 bags of trash that was collected, the LNG Canada team, family, friends and contractors, collected other larger items, including a toilet, tent, tarp, bedframe and even a shopping buggy.
