It was a great day to be a Cougar!

Graduating Class of 2020 celebrates with parade through Barriere

It was a great day to be a Barriere Secondary Cougar on Thursday, June 25, when the graduating class of 2020 was recognized with a commemorative vehicle parade through the heart of the community. Numerous folks came out to cheer for the grads, while also maintaining respectful social distancing. Residents clapped and cheered for the grads, and families had a great time making noise from their yards. The parade finished up at the fall fair grounds, where a private big screen presentation took place for the grads and their families showing their graduation ceremonies and award presentations that had taken place one-on-one at the school.

It was a drive-in movie to be remembered by all, and a special and unique graduation for the Class of 2020.

Watch for the Graduating Class of 2020 Special Supplement coming out with our July 9, 2020, issue.
