A Jeep crashed into a house in Nanaimo this afternoon.

Nanaimo Fire Rescue, B.C. Ambulance Service and Nanaimo RCMP were called to the intersection of Crace Street and Haliburton Street on Tuesday a little after 1 p.m. after a Jeep drove through the front yard and up onto the porch of a house on Crace.

Firefighters said the vehicle was travelling from Haliburton and continued straight into the front of the house, which does not have a front driveway.

The male driver of the Jeep was transported to hospital with unknown injuries that didn’t appear to be serious. The house was unoccupied.
