Johnson Street Bridge reopened after water main break

VicPD ask drivers to use alternate route on Nov. 12

VicPD have reopened Johnson Street Bridge just before 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 12. It was closed for several hours in the morning after a water main burst.

Traffic on Esquimalt Road is still closed west of Tyee, with a detour around the section of road damaged by water.

VicPD warned drivers there were major traffic delays after the burst at Tyee and Esquimalt Road, and asked everyone to plan a detour.

They expected delays on the Bay Street Bridge, where traffic was being redirected.

VicPD said they do not know how long the road closures will be in place for.
