Kalamalka Lake water source turned back on

Water source had been turned off because of high turbidity

There are two sources providing water once again to Greater Vernon residents.

The Kalamalka Lake source was turned back on Monday.

“Customers may notice a change in water quality, such as increase in hardness,” said Dale McTaggart, with the Regional District of North Okanagan.

“This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.”

The Kalamalka Lake source was turned off in mid-February because of turbidity and all customers were using the Duteau Creek source.
