Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 29 calls for service from July 28th, 8 a.m. till July 29th, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, four people were lodged in Terrace cells – none for intoxication.
Downtown Terrace
Dispute. A man approached another man for money owed. A challenge to a fight was issued and a vehicle was kicked. Under investigation.
Noise complaint in behind Greig Ave. The group had dispersed prior to police attendance. Police observed a woman in the area who had a warrant for her arrest. The 42-year-old woman was arrested and held for court.
A driver’s licence was lost at Safeway about a month ago.
Hit and run in the Skeena Mall parking lot. A black Ford F150 truck side swiped a grey Chevrolet Optra. The female driver of the truck stopped, examined her truck for damages, then left. Under investigation.
False business alarm on Greig Ave.
Man passed out at a picnic table in front of McDonald’s. BC Ambulance transported the 16-year-old boy to Mills Memorial Hospital. Two outstanding warrants for his arrest were executed.
A party and arguing going on in a motel room. Staff have told the guests to quiet down to no avail.
Two people sleeping in the woods behind Lazelle Ave. They left prior to police attendance.
Elsewhere Terrace
A small vile of powder was found at a residence. Police seized the substance for destruction.
An orange 2009 Dodge Calibre backed into a white 2012 Toyota Scion on Atwood St./Park Ave. A passenger in the Dodge suffered minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
False business alarm on Earle St.
A warrant was issued for a 42-year-old woman for failing to comply with recognizance. It was executed.
Break and enter to a residence on Molitor St. Two TVs and a game console were stolen. A knife was stuck in the wall of the bedroom. The tires of a vehicle parked at the residence were slashed.
Theft of milk. Police spoke with a woman. Support for the woman was located. A referral was made to Northern Mental Health.
Yelling and screaming on Haugland Ave. Police spoke with a man and a woman.
Suicidal 18-year-old woman. She was located locked in a car at Mills Memorial Hospital. Police were able to unlock the car. The woman produced a knife. The knife was removed without incident. The woman was apprehended under the Mental Health Act. Police provided assistance to Mills Memorial Hospital in dealing with the woman.
Suicidal 13-year-old girl. BC Ambulance transported the girl to Mills Memorial Hospital.
Noise complaint on Davis Ave, third complaint of this nature in the last week. Police issued a bylaw noise ticket.
Two women and a man checking out cars in the parking lot on Davis Ave. Checks were done of the area.
A rock was thrown through the living room window of a residence on Park Ave.
Thornhill
A man laying in the ditch on Queensway Blvd .under the new bridge. Checks determined that the man was on conditions to not consume alcohol. Police arrested the 38-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A neighbour running a backhoe making noise. Police spoke with man.
A dog on the loose on Hwy 16/Hwy 37. Checks were done of the area.
Well-being check. The man was fine. His phone wasn’t working.
Rural
A black purse and a black/white knapsack were stolen from a yard on Kroyer St. on July 16th. Various cards and medication were stolen.
Assist Ministry of Children and Families with two investigations.
Two outstanding warrants out of Vancouver were executed.
Erratic driver on Hwy 16 east near Kleanza. Police requested the assistance of New Hazelton RCMP.
Abandoned Ford F150 on Copper Forest Service Rd. Police contacted the registered owner.
